Each branch of the military has their own command, order, and unit of assignment at different levels. Every soldier must know and understand their Chain of Command and who is their Commander-in-Chief and his representatives. Receiving the representative is as receiving the Chief.
What is a command? A command is the authority that is given to a Commander and it must be exercised in order for sovereignty to be released to accomplish the purpose within the command. All are called to serve in the command, but not all are called to command. Within every command there are elements of command. They are:
(1) The commander (2) The recipients of the command (3) The actions of the command
Within the elements there must be an attitude of command and that is a willingness to be (1) Instructed with the command (2) Willingness to change to benefit the command (3) Willing to be loyal and faithful to the command (4) Willing to endure within the command until the end of the required time of the assignment to the command.
Within the command are training requirement to establish and maintain a standard of preparedness for the mission of the command according to the mission statement.
